Toronto Flower Market Update #2

Just one week to go until Sweet Flora's debut at the Toronto Flower Market! It's been a joy to spend my mornings harvesting a colourful array of calendula, pansy, viola, nasturtium, marigold, and cornflower from my back garden. Each day, nature surprises me with fresh, new blossoms, ready to transform  shortbread into a beautiful treat.

This week, I took a bold leap and rented a commercial kitchen. The abundance of space and specialized equipment allowed me to scale up my production significantly. The time seemed to fly by and I was reminded of the tranquil and invigorating power of creating in the kitchen.

I whipped up 200 cookies in all, in flavours of vanilla, lemon turmeric and matcha. I'm curious which flavour will be the favourite. Will it be the timeless vanilla charm with its comforting familiarity? Perhaps the zesty twist of lemon turmeric? Or maybe it's the vibrant allure of matcha that will win over market-goers.

I'm eager to get back to the kitchen again next week to prepare the last few batches. I'll be producing dragonfruit, chili chocolate and blueberry flavoured cookies. The rainbow palette of colours should be gorgeous!
